Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
This policy explains what information Arlo collects, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. Arlo is made by Coinpilot, Inc. ("Coinpilot", "we", "us"). It covers the Arlo website, the waitlist and survey, and the Arlo apps.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Waitlist and survey. Your email address. If you take the Trader Check-in survey, your answers, and your name and contact details if you book a call.
- Account. Your name and email address. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address from them (Apple lets you hide your email). We do not receive your Apple or Google password.
- What you put into Arlo. The sectors and tickers you pick at setup, your watchlist, your agents and how you set them up, trusted accounts, chats with Arlo, notes and theses, feedback on cards, and holdings you type in.
- Memory. Your answers to Arlo's questions about how you trade, such as what you do when a stop is hit or when you read the board, and the preferences Arlo learns from them.
- Voice. If you speak to Arlo instead of typing, a recording of your voice, which we turn into text.
- Support. What you send us when you email us or report a problem.
Connected accounts
If you connect a brokerage account or wallet, you sign in on your brokerage's own page or through a connection provider. We receive read-only access and data such as positions, balances, transactions, cost basis and account names. We never receive your brokerage password. Arlo cannot place orders or move money. For wallets, we read public on-chain data for the addresses you add.
Social accounts
If you connect X or Reddit, you sign in on their own page, and we receive read-only access to the accounts you follow on X and the subreddits you have joined on Reddit, plus your username. Agents use this list to decide whose posts to watch. Arlo never posts, likes, votes or sends messages for you, and we do not receive your X or Reddit password. You can disconnect at any time.
What Arlo works out about you
From your holdings, your trades and how you use Arlo, we build a trader profile to personalize Arlo. It includes things like how long you usually hold a position, your typical position size, whether you keep your stops, how often and how quickly you act on cards, and how many sources you check. You can see your profile and memory in the app.
Payments
Subscriptions are paid through the Apple App Store, Google Play or our payment processor. They handle your card details. We receive only your plan, its status and renewal dates.
Collected automatically
- Usage. Which screens and features you use, which cards you open, and similar events, tied to an internal ID.
- Device and log data. Device type, operating system, app version, language, IP address, approximate location based on IP address, crash reports and performance data.
- Notifications. A push token and your notification settings, such as which channels are on and how often you want to hear from Arlo.
- Referrals. If you invite a friend, which referral link they joined through.
- Website. Cookies and similar technologies. See Cookies and analytics.
How we use it
- To run Arlo: your agents watch your holdings and watchlist, raise cards, answer your questions and send alerts and emails.
- To remember your preferences and build your trader profile, so agents, cards and chat focus on what matters to you and how you trade.
- To watch the social accounts you follow, if you connect X or Reddit.
- To manage your account, plan and billing, and to answer support requests.
- To send waitlist updates, launch news and product emails. You can unsubscribe from any of them.
- To understand how Arlo is used, fix problems and improve it.
- To keep Arlo secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- To meet our legal obligations.
If you are in the EEA or UK, we rely on these legal bases: performing our contract with you; our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving Arlo; your consent, for example for non-essential cookies and marketing where the law requires it, which you can withdraw at any time; and legal obligations.
AI processing
To answer your questions and run your agents, we send the needed information to AI models. This includes your message, voice recordings for transcription, and relevant context such as your holdings, watchlist, memory and trader profile. Some of these models are run by third-party providers, who process the data for us to produce the answer.
We do not use your chats or portfolio data to train third-party AI models. Arlo's output is automated and can be wrong. See the Terms.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as we reasonably need it to provide Arlo and look after your account, to meet our legal, tax, accounting and contractual obligations, and to resolve disputes or protect our rights.
To decide how long that is, we consider how much information there is and what kind it is, how sensitive it is, the risk of harm if it were used or disclosed without permission, why we process it, and what the law requires.
When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your agents, holdings, case files, chats, memory, trader profile and connected-account data, and disconnect your brokerage and social accounts, unless we need to keep something for the reasons above. If you unsubscribe from our emails, we keep your email address only so that we do not email you again.
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit and at rest. Brokerage access tokens are encrypted and are never sent to your device. Access to personal data is limited to the people who need it. Our staff do not look at your holdings or chats unless you ask us to, for example for support, or when security or the law requires it. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Your choices
- Delete your account in the app, under Account, then Manage account, then Delete account. You can also email us.
- Disconnect a brokerage, wallet, X or Reddit in the app at any time, or revoke access from that service.
- Memory. Change or clear your answers in the app, under Memory.
- Emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. We will still send you account and billing messages.
- Notifications. Turn them off in the app or in your device settings.
- Analytics. Turn off analytics in the app where offered. You can also block cookies on the website.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access your personal information and get a copy;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information;
- object to or restrict some uses, or withdraw consent;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, or of targeted advertising. We do neither.
To use any of these rights, email support@coinpilot.com. We may need to verify your identity first. We will respond within the time the law requires, usually 30 days, or 45 days in California. You can use an authorized agent where the law allows. We will not treat you differently for using your rights. If you are in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers
We and our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries whose data protection laws may differ from yours. When we transfer data from the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we use legal safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children
Arlo is only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
